Ego was appointed Chairman of DED after the previous Chairman, Double Punch, was promoted to a spot on the Builders Assembly. Unfortunately he did not retain Double Punch's chosen administrator of the Iacon production facility, Gnashteeth, and demoted the Predacon in order to put another Builder in the position of authority, Datamine.
