- In honor of this, he hid numerous hidden (and some not-so-hidden) references to the band in The AllSpark Almanac series of books.
- An excerpt from the Iron Maiden song "Losfer Words (Big 'Orra)" (from their 1984 album Powerslave) was used in the Japanese version of the The Transformers: The Movie trailer.
