G1 Lug
Isn't this guy just the IDW version of G1 Lug? Why is this a separate page?

- One's a Headmaster, one isn't. Jcbynum1 10:13, 16 December 2016 (EST)
- So? Titans Return Brawn is a headmaster, but he's not on a separate page. - Awsm57 4:01 PM, 16 December 2016 (Central Time)
- This Lug has zero similarity to Headmaster Lug. Don't badly move pages around. Saix (talk) 17:15, 16 December 2016 (EST)
- Their color schemes are identical, and unless one of the writers says that they're different characters, there's no reason to assume that they are. - Awsm57 4:28 PM, 16 December 2016 (Central Time)
- Their color schemes are not identical. They just both use red, and not even in the same spots. Saix (talk) 20:27, 16 December 2016 (EST)
- They also both use grey for the torso. And since when was color scheme enough to say that they're different characters? G2 Jhiaxus has a different color scheme then IDW Jhiaxus, but they're not considered different characters. - Awsm57 9:34 PM, 16 December 2016 (Central Time)
- Jhiaxus (G2) and Jhiaxus (IDW) have similar personalities (maniacal); Lug (Headmaster) and Lug (Treasure-Hunter/Rewind retool) do not. Jcbynum1 22:40, 16 December 2016 (EST)
- Cerebros hasn't ever had a consistent personality, should we split his page into 10 separate pages? - Awsm57 9:44 PM, 16 December 2016 (Central Time)

Fangry in the same issue is pretty much straight up his G1 toy. I think if he was meant to be Headmaster Lug, he would actually look like him. Also, no, Cerebros doesn't have a consistent personality, but he at least has the same basic body design. Escargon (talk) 23:01, 16 December 2016 (EST)
- Fair point, but things like personality and design can vary across universes, so I think it's best to assume that he is G1 Lug unless we're told otherwise
- And I think he has at the very least a passing resemblance to G1 Lug, but that's just me apparently - Awsm57 10:10 PM, 16 December 2016 (Central Time)
- We split Soundblaster (Headmasters) and Soundblaster (Dreamwave) based on origin and personality, same thing here Jcbynum1 00:58, 17 December 2016 (EST)
- There was already a Soundwave in Dreamwave, so he and Soundblaster had to be separate entities, but there was not a Lug in IDW prior to this one, so he is most likely just the IDW universe's version of Lug - Awsm57 12:05 AM, 17 December 2016 (Central Time)
- At the Orbital Comics James Roberts and Jack Lawrence signing on the 16th, James just said he liked the name, and Jack said the colours were a coincidence. Case closed, probably. This is impossible to use as a source, but you can just ask them to corraberate the info. Sky Shadow (talk) 07:30, 18 December 2016 (EST)
- Ah okay, I didn't know it was officially confirmed - Awsm57 04:18 PM, 20 December 2016 (Central Time)

Altmode/main mode?
So is he a backpack that turns into a robot/toolkit, or a robot who turns into a backpack/toolkit (who can access the tools in robot mode), or what? I'm not sure how to classify this guy.Wheelbug (talk) 16:33, 23 January 2017 (EST)
Additional question: are we sure of Lug's gender at this point? I'm not sure if they've been identified yet. Wheelbug (talk) 10:53, 26 January 2017 (EST)
