Ptero is an Autobot Builder from the Beast Wars: Uprising portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Ptero transforms into a head. He may or may not have a connection with Swoop.

In post-war Iacon, Ptero led the Firestormers, one of the many criminal organizations which was reputed to obtain their chassis art and exotic modifications from Hotwire. Trigger Warnings

Part of the third wave of individually-packed Generations Titans Return Titan Masters, Ptero transforms from robot to a head based on that of the original Swoop toy. In this mode, Ptero can serve as the head of any Titans Return Deluxe, Voyager, or Leader Class figure. He also features ports in his feet that allow him to peg onto a wide variety of Titans Return figures.

Ptero is packaged with triple-changing accessory which can transform into a jet for Ptero to ride, a 5mm crossbow for other figures to wield, or combine with Ptero to form a Pteranodon. Note that the stock photos at right mistransform both the Pteranodon (Titan Master upside-down) and jet (wings not folded up) modes.

The Ptero toy doubles as a revamped version of Swoop and as the independent character Ptero.
