Bulkhead's body is hijacked by the Headmaster, and Prowl, Bumblebee and Sari find trouble in the wilderness.
Synopsis
[edit]This book recounts the events of "Headmaster" and "Nature Calls", through the use of cartoon screen captures arranged in comic book style panels.
Notes
[edit]Headmaster
[edit]- Sumdac's disbelief at Masterson's use of the term "warbot" is left out, as is the latter part of Sumdac's speech about not making military hardware.
- Bulkhead's line about being gentle is also missing.
- After being hit by the car, when News Bot signs off back to the studio, he specifically addresses someone named "Les" (Animated newscaster Lester Black, perhaps?). The scene ends there, missing out the section in which Bulkhead traumatizes Daniel Witwicky.
- As Tutor Bot displays the classical paintings, the comic calls out the name and artist of the work.
- Bulkhead's first few painting attempts are skipped over, jumping to the Airplane! injoke.
- Bulkhead's initial frustration after his brush breaks is skipped.
- As Masterson makes plans, the sequence of him looking at TV monitors is omitted.
- After Masterson uses the Headmaster unit on Bulkhead, the scene with Bulkhead waking up to find his body has been stolen is missed out.
- Bumblebee calling Bulkhead "little buddy" and the latter's reaction are skipped. So are the lines from "Attached to Prime!" to "Right, my bad." as they work on Bulkhead's art, and Bumblebee's last two lines of the scene.
- Captain Fanzone's lines when they find Masterson's hideout are missing.
- After Bulkhead spontaneously starts running, Bumblebee's assertion that he's finally fried his processor and Bulkhead's response are both omitted.
- The fight sequence between Masterson and the policebots is skipped,
- Masterson demands seven hundred million dollars instead of seven hundred billion.
- The end of Masterson's transmittion, from the computer simulation of the explosion onwards, is left out.
- The bit with Bumblebee and Fanzone fighting over the radio is skipped. Once they take the money in, Fanzone's line about attending to wounded, and Masterson's response are both left out.
- Sumdac's "total ownage" line is omitted, as is much of the ensuing fight with Masterson, with mostly just Prowl fighting the Headmaster until he's suddenly surrounded by the Autobots.
- The first scene with Sumdac trying to stop the core from melting down and Fanzone helping with some controls is omitted entirely.
Nature Calls
[edit]- Despite being called out as "When Nature Calls" on the copyright page, the correct title is used on the "title card" for the section.
- The construction vehicles aren't shown at all in the opening segment.
- The sequence in which Prowl is pelted with snow and his subsequent rant about humans is omitted, jumping to him asking Bumblebee if he really needs all these electronic devices.
- Prowl steals Prime's "character builder" line.
- Bumblebee's responses to Prowl's questioning over whether he needed all the junk he brought with him are missing. His later questions about where the electrical outlets are is missing too, though Prowl's response is still there.
- After Prowl tells Sari she needs to learn to survive without machines, the rest of the scene is omitted.
- Prowl's line about determining the creature's intentions is skipped over. After Bumblebee zaps it, the creature's attack on them and Prowl's attempt at retaliation are also skipped.
- Bumblebee's zinger at Bulkhead's expense is omitted, as his his comment about bright lights.
- The first few bits of dialog from the next scene are skipped, having it instead start with Sari announcing that she's detected a signal.
- Prowl's "Do you mind?" line is erroneously attributed to Bumblebee.
- Once Bumblebee and Sari get trapped in the mine, their scene ends, skipping everything after Sari notes they're trapped.
- Prowl's gambit with the hologram is change to Prowl merely pretending to be trapped in the snow.
- Bumblebee's suggestion that Prowl will be able to fight the control of the space barnacles is left out, with it skipping to Sari thinking the AllSpark Key might work.
- After Bumblebee's "We need to do like he said and run", there's a whole section chopped out, taking up with Bumblebee and Sari reaching the mine. Sari gets a speech bubble here explaining the plan. Bumblebee asking whose side she's on, and her response are also missing.
- Bumblebee zooming down the mine track on his wheels is omitted, as is the bit where he clocks Prowl with a loaded mine cart and his line about hoping Prowl doesn't remember that.
- Bumblebee refers to his games machine as a "Gamebox" instead of a "game player" as on-screen.
Trivia
[edit]
- For some reason this and the previous volume got completely different covers when they were put up on Comixology. The other issues retained their print covers.
