AllSpark fragments bring two construction vehicles to life, and Prowl competes with Lockdown to try and catch Starscream
Synopsis
[edit]This book recounts the events of "Rise of the Constructicons" and "A Fistful of Energon", through the use of cartoon screen captures arranged in comic book style panels.
Notes
[edit]Rise of the Constructicons
[edit]- Ratchet blasting the lamp post into Blitzwing and Lugnut's path is cut down to Bumblebee doing so with his stingers.
- Blitzwing's following lines about sheet metal is trimmed down to just him saying "Autobots?!"
- Scrapper doesn't see the "scrap" sign, he just comes up with the name "Scrapper" on his own.
- The dangling I beam after Bulkhead's experiment blows up is eliminated entirely, as is the Constructicon's rescue. It skips straight to Bulkhead waking up and the Constructicons have somehow found him.
- After Bulkhead asks if they're Decepticons, it skips to Mixmaster's "Beats me" line. Bulkhead's realization about the AllSpark fragment is also gone.
- As Bulkhead's leaving the base with the two Constructicons, Optimus's "Uh, Bulkhead? A word?" line is missing making it look like Bulkhead stops of his own accord.
- Bulkhead accuses Optimus of being prejudiced against the Constructicons because they're not Autobots!
- When Lugnut claims Megatron will take them to new highs of glory, Blitzwing retorts that he'll take Lugnut to new heights of pain.
- Lugnut readying his Punch of Kill Everything and falling in the mine is gone. Awwww.
- Ratchet blasting Mixmaster is skipped.
- Bulkhead doesn't swing his wrecking ball at the Constructicons after the Autobots get the AllSpark fragments back, the Constructicons just get scared and run away of their own accord.
A Fistful of Energon
[edit]- Ultra Magnus gets some extra dialog before Starscream escapes, in the form of him radioing ahead to tell them to get a security detail and a plasma cell ready.
- Bulkhead stomping up behind Prowl and scaring off the wildlife is left out.
- Grimlock shoots his fire-breath at Prowl rather than threatening a nest full of birds.
- When discussing using the emergency shuttle, Bulkhead brings up the point that both he and Prowl couldn't fit in the shuttle.
- After Prowl takes off in the shuttle by himself, Bulkhead radios "Bulkhead to Prime! Just so you know... this is not my fault."
- Ratchet's "Even a protoform would know better!" line is missing. Prowl's response about it being an ideal mission for him is longer, with him describing how he'll take Starscream by surprise.
- Lockdown doesn't instantly attack Prowl when the latter sneaks about his ship.
- The sycophantic clone doesn't run through the Autobots' names when he first encounters them.
- Ratchet pointing out the damage Prowl's done catching the clone is missing, taking some of the punch out of Prowl's realization that the mods are changing him.
- Prowl doesn't make any noise while spying on Megatron, Megatron just "senses" him.
- After Bulkhead arrives at the warehouse, there's an extra piece of dialog "Look what the Autobot dragged in!" which is styled to look like a radio transmission, suggesting that it's coming from Starscream, despite the fact he hasn't revealed his plan yet.
- Lockdown contacts Prowl for a "heart to heart" instead of a "spark to spark". Prowl's line about not contacting him again is removed.
Trivia
[edit]- "Souped up" is misspelled "supped up" as Prowl chases the sycophantic clone into the air.
