Alt.toys.transformers is an outstandingly ancient internet newsgroup that posted information on Transformers merchandise. Somewhat like a forum, members could post replies that would be emailed to all members of the newsgroup with administrators sifted out rumors and lies. This PARTICULAR newsgroup was host to many colliquial terms within Transformers fanon being created, such as alternate mode.
