A stellar cycle is a Transformer unit of time.

Stellar-cycles have two completely different usages.

  • In Beast Machines, stellar-cycle refers to a year-period, or the amount of time it takes for Cybertron to complete a circle around its star.
  • Beginning from 2005 IDW standardized many Transformer time-measurements. In their parlance, a Stellar-cycle is ~7.5 months.

Despite representing different eras in time, it is easiest interpret stellar-cycles in terms of their publication date. Usages of Stellar Cycles after IDW standardized the measurement probably means 7.5 months. Usage prior to that... do not.
