- Snarl is a Dinobot from the Age of Extinction portion of the live-action film series continuity family.

Snarl hates everybody. He hates the Dinobots, he hates the Autobots, and he hates the Decepticons. He even hates you. The only time he smiles is when he stares at you... when you are dead or when he's about to murder you. He transforms into a robotic Stegosaurus.
Fiction
Kre-O cartoon
Snarl participated in a battle against the Decepticons until Optimus paused the confrontation to talk about the live-action film series. The Autobot leader introduced Snarl and the rest of the Dinobots to the audience to wrap-up his recap. Then, a pizza was delivered to the battlefield, and the fighting started up once again. - Snarl (Power Battlers, 2014)
- Japanese release date: 2014-10-18
- Japanese ID number: LA17
- Power Battlers Snarl is a simplified version of the toy, with a 'Hammer Strike' gimmick, triggered by pulling down the switch on his back.
- The Japanese release of the toy features no changes from the American release, other than the packaging.
Generations

- Snarl (Deluxe Class, 2014)
- Japanese ID number: AD28
- Accessories: Axe-head, thagomizer
- Part of the third wave of deluxe class toys, Generations Snarl transforms into a robotic Stegosaurus with a layout inspired by his G1 counterpart. This mold is also redecoed in a G1-inspired deco as part of a SDCC 2014 exclusive Dinobot four-pack.
- Snarl's largest pair of plates and thagomizer become a blade and a spiked mace for him to wield in robot mode, and can combine to form a large axe; the combination is not mentioned in his instructions, but he is shown wielding it in the stock photography on his packaging (seen at right), albeit upside down and misassembled. Interestingly, one of his legs has a false head tucked into the side, and his real head folds in symmetrically on his other leg. This gives the impression that he has two dinosaur heads in robot mode, which is hilarious in hindsight, given that people used to believe that stegosaurs had two brains.
- The Japanese release of Snarl, as part of the Movie Advanced Series toyline, features metallic light green paint on his opaque green parts, his shoulder and pelvis parts were replaced into grey plastic, and his transparent yellow plastic is colored a bit lighter than the Hasbro edition.
- The elbow joints of Hasbro Snarl's front Stegosaurus legs were subject to a running-change. Early shipments of the figure lacked a metal pin running through them, which caused them to pop off very easily at the elbow joint. This pop-off issue was addressed in later shipments which now featured metal pins running through the elbow joints. The Takara-Tomy release of this figure does not feature these pins and thus, still suffers from the pop-off problem.
Kre-O
- Optimus Prime Dino Hauler

- Pieces: 203
- Kreons: Ratchet, Vehicon x2, and human Autobot Driver.
- Included in the Optimus Prime Dino Hauler kit, "Snarl" (he goes unnamed in the packaging) is a buildable Dinobot beast. The club at the end of his tail contains a magnet that attracts the metal parts on the Vehicon helmets and backpacks. The tail is flexible soft-plastic, but springs back into a straight position so he can swat away badguys.

Notes
- While his deluxe Age of Extinction Generations toy is very much a Stegosaurus like his Generation 1 counterpart, his character artwork and Power Attackers figure more closely resemble a Huayangosaurus.
- More so than in other series, the realism of the movies would have resulted in Snarl's alt mode not belonging, since Stegosaurus went extinct millions of years before the existence of the dinosaurs the other Dinobots turn into.
