Power of the Primes is an upcoming multimedia branding used by Hasbro, expected to encompass Transformers toys, comics, and other merchandise. Presumably, it will spotlight Primes in some fashion.
As the third installment in the Prime Wars Trilogy, Power of the Primes follows the Titans Return subline.[1]
Toys

Following the conclusion of the Generations toyline's Titans Return subline imprint, the Generations line is expected to be refreshed with Power of the Primes branding, with a Prime Master unified play pattern. Prime Masters are small Titan Master-esque figures, who represent the sparks of the Primes. They store in Pretender-esque Decoy Suits. This will be the basis for the Prime Master pricepoint. Prime Masters will be able to pilot the alt-modes of Legends Class figures similar to Titan MAsters. Deluxe figures will include armor allowing Prime Masters to become chestplates like the Breastforce. Voyagers will have arm mounted Bucklers, which store Prime Masters.
Leader figures will each include a unique Matrix. Smaller figures will combine with leader sized components to become a Prime, with the removable Matrix combining with Prime Masters.
Cartoon
Comic
Though any formal "event storyline" has yet to be announced, IDW Publishing spread hints throughout the latter run of The Transformers vol. 2 that Onyx Prime, member of the first Thirteen Primes, would be returning to Earth and coming into conflict with the forces of Optimus Prime. So stay tuned to the ongoing sequel series Optimus Prime!
Notes
- A survey commenced on January 23, 2017, to choose the next Transformer to be made a Prime in the story.[2] Fans initially had to choose the leader of three personality factions, with the highlighted winners going to the second round:[3]
- Honor: Arcee, Ultra Magnus, Hound
- Order: Shockwave, Megatron, Star Saber
- Chaos: Thunderwing, Optimus Primal, Unknown Evil (wild card)
- Optimus Primal won the final round.[4]
