Techy is a buyer of rare artifacts. He hires people to acquire them for him, and doesn't really care if the location they have to go to get what he wants is too hot to handle.

Fiction

IDW Generation 1 continuity

Anode and Lug were hired by Techy to unearth a "snowflake" of sentio metallico from Luna 2. When a Cybernought attacked them Lug caustically observed that Techy would be "delighted" at not having to pay them because they were dead. Some Other Cybertron Anode and Lug had previously visited Troja Major while working for Techy. An Axe to Break the Ice

• "Techy" is an obsolete form of "tetchy", which means "easily annoyed or irritated". Sounds like a swell guy.
