Age of Extinction

So, after watching the movie (and reviewing other pages) it seems to me like the Dinobots, or at least Grimlock, were implied to be Knights of Cybertron. If not the Dinobots, there was a clear mentioning of knights, so I would assume they are one in the same. Also, Optimus mentioned something when he removed the sword about "recognizing one of your own". Is that to say Optimus is a Knight too?

They're Knights of some sort, but not necessarily of the "of Cybertron" variety. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 22:06, 3 July 2014 (EDT)
How about Optimus though?
Yes, whatever the hell the Knights are, Optimus is one for sure. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 13:11, 4 July 2014 (EDT)

Green gear guys

Questions -- one: should they get their own page, or should I leave them here? And two: if I leave them here, should I put them under their own sub-section? They seem noteworthy enough for one. And if yes to either, what should they be named? I don't think they've received any kind of official name yet, but calling them 'mystery bots' and a 'mystery organization' all the time is starting to get tedious. Lost Light #8 theory

Having just read Lost Light #8, I want to float a theory about the nature of the Knights of Cybertron in IDW continuity: 1. They're large players in the primordial history of Cybertron, and following their departure, Cybertronians seem to have (initially) tribalized and taken to fighting among themselves, suggesting that they were leaders or rulers of the planet while they were there. 2. In MTMTE #21, Pharma's body was dragged through the space bridge that supposedly led to the Knights by some tendril/tentacle-like appendages 3. Lost Light #8 establishes that there are five glyphs associated with the Knights that most scholars believe represent five different "clans"

So, could the IDW version of the Knights of Cybertron be Quintessons? History tends to get warped, so maybe some Galvatron-era Cybertronian saw fit to rewrite things so that the Knights were recorded as way more benevolent than they actually had been. The five glyphs don't each represent different clans, but different faces.

Obviously just a theory for the moment... but what do you think?
