The name or term "Stunticon" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Stunticon (disambiguation).
The Stunticons are a Decepticon subgroup from the Aligned continuity family.

The Stunticons plot to take over planets' roads in anyway they can. Whether that be searching for Cybertronian weapons which can help them or setting up posts at different roadways, controlled by one of their individual members. It doesn't matter what it takes as long as they can take over the roads, they'll be satisfied. After all, the roads are their turf.

They are currently focusing their attention on Earth, but unfortunately a group of stupid lawbots is constantly interfering with their plans in order to defend the squishies. Stocking up on Cybertronian relics, is the only way they can defend themselves and the tracking device they found will help with this.

The group includes;

  • The rough and tough leader obsessed with being "ruler of the roads", Motormaster.
  • The brutish and overconfident, Heatseeker, who fires heat-seeking missiles.
  • The confidence-lacking, Wildbreak, who can emit painful waves and unleash ground waves.
  • Wildbreak's "buddy ol' pal". The scheming and quite possibly traitorous suck-up, Dragstrip, who leaves enemies in the dust with his nitro boosts.
  • The insulting, Slashmark, who literally rips at the roads with his energy-induced tires.

If two Stunticons crash into each other, they can combine into one super robot. Dragstrip and Wildbreak have been known to form Dragbreak together. The entire group can combine into the fearsome Menasor.

Breakdown and Wildrider have been known to also be members of the team, but their relation to the others is unknown.

Notes

  • Until their appearance in the third season of Robots in Disguise, the only information on the existence of the Stunticon team came from the toy bio of the Japanese-original Wildrider, with said bio only mentioning himself and Breakdown. Even prior to that, Motormaster appeared exclusively in the DS version of War For Cybertron, while Drag Strip appeared in most versions of the game and its sequels Fall of Cybertron and Rise of the Dark Spark alongside Breakdown. Ironically, Dead End, who also appears in the games, has not yet been confirmed to be a Stunticon.
  • The Wildrider toy includes a unique Stunticon logo among its optional decals, partly derived from the Team Stunticon symbol developed for BotCon 2011's "The Stunti-Con Job" comic and box set.
  • Given that Breakdown both appears and is later killed off in Prime, it would make sense that Wildbreak, whose skittish personality, power to generate disruptive vibrational fields, and a primarily dark blue color scheme make him an obvious expy for Generation 1 Breakdown, would appear in his place in Robots in Disguise. Similarly, Heatseeker and Slashmark are both new characters who seem to be based off members of the original team. Heatseeker's "care" for pedestrian traffic, use of destructive materials, and grey color scheme all homage Wildrider. However, his vehicle mode is more in line with Offroad. As for Slashmark, while his color scheme is also based on Generation 1 Breakdown yet differs from Wildbreak's, his personality (consisting of a snarky attitude, a relative levelheadedness among his team, and a lack of concern for coming first) is based on Dead End.
