After large gold deposits were discovered under Mount McDermott, Governor Harmon organized for it to be mined, promising to bring prosperity to the nearby region. By the time he made a television appearance to speak on his plans, several miners had already been hired to extract the valuable ore. His plans drew criticism however, as many were afraid that the mining operation Governor Harmon had organized would endanger both the environment, and the nearby town of Rockville. His critics turned out to be right, and Rockville would have been wiped off the map after Mount McDermott collapsed, if not for the intervention of the Autobots. Collapse
