The Matrix is a film from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Matrix is a film from the 1990's. One can only assume that it is in some way about the Matrix of Leadership, though it is unknown how humanity would have come by this knowledge before the Transformers revealed themselves on Earth.
