A Gravitron grid is an energy grid that can create gravity waves. To operate them, a containment field must first be established prior to the gravity generators being brought online. Theoretically they can cause black holes to collapse in on themselves. Theoretically.

Observing the black hole from a remote relay station near Cybertron, Red Alert attempted to use a gravitron grid to collapse the black hole. Though the gravity field initially caused the black hole to contract, the energy proved too much for the gravitron nodes and caused them to explode. Red Alert attempted to reroute the power but the grid ultimately collapsed.
