m-flo

m-flo is a Japanese hip-hop group founded in 1997 under the Rhythm Zone music label. The group currently consists of original members DJ ☆Taku Takahashi (高橋 拓 Takahashi Taku) and rapper Verbal; a third founding member, vocalist LISA, left the group to pursue a solo career in 2002, though they still collaborate on occasion. The group is well-renowned, becoming one of the most influential hip-hop acts in Asia, and has frequently collaborated with other artists via their "m-flo loves..." project, including Crystal Kay, Bonnie Pink, and Shadow the Hedgehog.

Following a four year hiatus, m-flo returned to music-making in 2012 with the release of their sixth studio album, "Square One". That same year, the group produced TRANSFORMERZ, the second opening theme for the Japanese broadcast of Transformers: Prime. The group later produced a "version 2.0" remix of the song in collaboration with Ken Oshima for their 2012 remix album "m-flo DJ Mix: Bon! Enkai", which ended up being used for the show's third opening. The original mix was released as one of the tracks on the group's seventh album, "NEVEN", in 2013, while a slightly-extended mix of Version 2.0 was included on their "m-flo DJ Mix: Asobon! Enkai" remix album later that year.
