Space is big. Really big. So big that even the fastest of starships equipped with the most advanced quantum generators can't jump across it in seconds. But if you really need to get somewhere really fast then look no further than the Warren. A knot of invisible quantum tunnels so big that it spans both space and time. Millions of years wide, it allows for arrival at a point in time before the traveler actually left. Prolonged exposure to super-compressed space however can be fatal requiring ships to return to normal space for periods of time.

Fiction

IDW Generation 1 continuity

After capturing Autobot Special Operations officer Getaway, Arm the Lonely Tyrest used the Autobot as a ranting board where he revealed his plan to use the Warren as a shortcut so as to fly his base of Luna 1 to Cyberutopia. His plan hit a snag however when he failed to actually found an opening to the Warren so he opted for a Space bridge instead. Filling in the Blanks

After leading a mutiny against Team Rodimus, How Bright Their Frail Deeds Getaway charged Perceptor with finding an opening to the Warren. After weeks of study, Perceptor found an opening. In a meeting of the bridge crew, Getaway used the opening as an excuse to avoid helping the planet Frayus. Filling in the Blanks

After using one of the Warren's tunnels, Perceptor was amazed to find that the Lost Light had emerged four minutes prior to its departure despite the vast distance covered. Another jump took the ship directly to Cyberutopia. Journey's End
