Fiction

Shattered Glass

Darkwing was a Decepticon maintenance expert working at the Nemesis on Earth. Unfortunately, a lot of equipment seemed to need maintenance, so he was in high demand. He borrowed Crasher from the Mayhem Suppression Squad to help with some of the heavy-lifting, although her flirtatious attitude seemed to confuse him.

Darkwing and Crasher reported to the visiting Annex to fix up some pranks and malfunctions caused by Stonecruncher and Excavator's deviousness in the design. Captain Cyclonus, recently released from prison for treason, was still uncomfortable in the presence of other Decepticons, but the maintenance team treated him fairly. During the repairs, Crasher received a psychic alert from Sephie Beller, the Decepticons' human ally turned cybernetic super-hero named Emulator. Cyclonus agreed to pilot the Annex and help Darkwing and Crasher locate Emulator.

Escaping orbit, the Annex tracked a ship with Emulator on board to the mysterious Underbase. Boarding the vessel, the trio encountered the dark god from the positive dimensions known as the Fallen, and were taken prisoner. While Crasher was used to help power their inter-dimensional gateway, Darkwing and Cyclonus were imprisoned with Beta Maxx, former sovereign of the Underbase, who explained the situation. The Decepticons escaped with the help of Emulator and her friend Rick, taking the fight to the Fallen. They rescued Crasher and the other captured hybrids, sending the Fallen through a rift in space. Darkwing and Crasher agreed to remain on board the Annex as part of Cyclonus's crew after this, continuing their bond. Coalescence
