The Studio Series toyline, underneath the Generations banner, coincides with Bumblebee: The Movie, the sixth film in Michael Bay's live-action film series. The line is officially a collaboration between Hasbro and Takaratomy, much like the MPM line. However there are no changes between both the Japanese and the US release.

Rather than simply promoting the new movie, Studio Series acts as a celebration of over ten years of live-action movies, with characters from nearly every movie represented. Each toy is numbered, with an indication of their movie of origin. All figures also come with a cardboard backdrop depicting a notable scene from their movie. Backdrops from separate figures representing the same scene are designed to be displayed side-by-side.

With rough robot mode scale as a line-wide goal, each figure is sized in relation to other toys, even in the same size class; Deluxe Jazz is shorter than Deluxe Bumblebee, who is in turn shorter than Deluxe Ratchet.
