Why are we assuming that this is either Rumble or Frenzy? If he wasn't name dropped and didn't have any lines, why not consider him a generic? --Khajidha (talk) 10:18, 16 April 2018 (EDT)

I've not seen the episode in question, but I imagine it was probably during a fight scene specifically pitting the cassettes against each other. Escargon (talk) 10:31, 16 April 2018 (EDT)
So? We've seen unnamed cassettes before. --Khajidha (talk) 10:47, 16 April 2018 (EDT)
Because he's clearly the product of an error - he's been miscolored with Seizan's color scheme, presumably because of confusion caused by the "one gun over the right shoulder" look. He pops out of Soundwave's chest in a scene featuring nothing but other recognizable cassette characters, there's no reason to assume a generic would have been intended for the scene. - Chris McFeely (talk) 12:27, 16 April 2018 (EDT)
I guess I just don't see such behind the scenes factors as being as important. If he had been called by name or used the same voice actor, I could see his color as an error. As is, there is no evidence in-universe to prove he is Rumble or Frenzy alongside actual evidence (his color) that he isn't. But I won't push it.--Khajidha (talk) 12:48, 16 April 2018 (EDT)
I think, as a result of how our articles are in-fiction, we've been ignoring what is obviously happening in the real-world behind the scenes. Take Straxus, for example; his IDW section, for the longest time, "invented" him getting out of the Dead Universe as an explanation for him being in Megatron Origin, when it was obviously a result of the Holmes/Milne (not sure how much of the cameos in Megatron Origin are actually called out in script) having different ideas and not knowing what Furman was planning to do with him. It's a bit dishonest, I feel. Escargon (talk) 13:00, 16 April 2018 (EDT)
I agree that we shouldn't "connect the dots", but this is just an isolated individual. To me, it feels dishonest to say that he is someone in particular. --Khajidha (talk) 13:28, 16 April 2018 (EDT)
Don't make up in-universe reasons to justify real-world mistakes. They drew Rumble or Frenzy and colored him wrong. Just like we don't make up reasons to explain why Swindle was hanging out with the Protectobots in "Return of Optimus Prime," or why Sideswipe was hanging around the Decepticon base in "Secret of Omega Supreme." - Chris McFeely (talk) 13:34, 16 April 2018 (EDT)
