Nelson Yomtov was feeling particularly lazy this morning

Block coloring is often used, especially in pre-1990's comics, to get away with not having to fill in every single color of a character. Nel Yomtov did this frequently during the Marvel days. This is most often used in the background, but shows up in other places, as well. Sometimes, the backgrounds get more attention than the characters. The reason for this remains a mystery.
