Eukaris is a wild and untamed planet, home to a colony of long-lost Transformers with beast modes. By modern times, Eukaris's population had splintered into four competing tribes, who divided themselves based on the nature of their alternate modes. They consisted of the Scale Walkers, led by Dinobot, the Fur Walkers, led by Cheetor, the Wave Walkers, led by Manta Ray, and the Cloud Walkers, led by Sonar. Although isolated from other Transformer worlds, the tribes of Eukaris never forgot the humiliating discrimination that their ancestors on Cybertron faced, and most maintain a healthy distrust of any vehicle mode Transformers.

The term for things related to Eukaris is Eukarian.

Seven million years ago, Onyx Prime landed on Eukaris during his journey aboard the Titan Chela. Crisis Intervention Windblade vol. 2 #6 As they settled the world, Chela's personal hot spot gave birth to a new civilization of Transformers, all of whom possessed beast modes. Hoping to create a safe refuge for his kind, far away from Nova Prime's toxic doctrine of functionism that was sweeping Cybertron, Onyx tasked Chela with protecting the planet from any intruding "standard-formers". Chela eventually went dormant underground, although legends of a day when Chela would reawake persisted. Windblade vol. 2 #6

Approximately eighteen thousand years ago, the starship Axalon, captained by Domitius Major, departed Eukaris with the Talisman at the behest of Onyx Prime. The Axalon subsequently crashed on a distant, icy world and the crew was presumed dead. Strange Visitors Centurion profile

Eukaris remained isolated from the rest of the galaxy until following the "Dark Cybertron" incident, when the First Titan Metroplex, newly returned to Cybertron, remotely located several colonies, including Eukaris. A Long Way Down While investigating blackouts with Metroplex's systems, Camien Cityspeaker Windblade linked with Metroplex's mind and saw Air Hammer and Injector swimming in an ocean on Eukaris. Windblade vol. 1 #4 Some months later, the battling combiners Optimus Maximus and Devastator fell through Cybertron's space bridge to Caminus, which Metroplex was causing to fluctuate by attempting to reach out to the other colony worlds at once. The combiners briefly landed on Eukaris during their conflict, but fell through the portal on to other colony worlds. Two residents of Eukaris, Airazor and Tigatron, witnessed the mayhem and later investigated the enormous footprints the warring giants left behind. Tigatron said that this incident should be reported to everyone on Eukaris, but Airazor protested to this. All That Remains The duo eventually sought out the advice of the "Fateweaver" Blackarachnia, who summoned all four of Eukaris's tribes to the planet's space bridge. They were joined by Rattrap, a Cybertronian who had sneaked through the space bridge to scout out the planet and persuade the natives to join the growing Council of Worlds.

The next day, Starscream and Windblade travelled to the planet. As a non-Cybertronian, the natives afforded Windblade the chance to argue her case for to join the Council. Unfortunately, the presence of vehicle mode Transformers also reawoke Chela, who burst from the ground and immediately tried to kill the intruders. Windblade tried to reason with Chela using her Cityspeaker skills, but diplomacy quickly broke down and Starscream was forced to kill the Titan. Windblade was saddened by the loss; but Blackarachnia realized that Chela's death fulfilled one of her prophecies, and was the first step toward changing Eukaris for the better. Blackarachnia decided to appoint Tigatron and Airazor—who had both abandoned their respective tribes in order to be with one another—as delegates, hoping that their independence from Eukaris's competing tribes would make them impartial diplomats. After delivering devastating kompromat on Starscream to Windblade, Rattrap decided to cut his losses and emigrate to Eukaris. After Starscream publicly confessed his crimes and Windblade had been elected to lead the Council of Worlds however, Rattrap was incarcerated on Cybertron—any asylum must have been short-lived. Notes

  • Eukaris's name is likely derived from the "eukaryotes": the group of organisms that includes all multicellular life-forms.
  • According to Mairghread Scott, the planet's name is pronounced "yoo-KARR-iss".[1]
  • It has yet to be specified how Air Hammer and Injector fit into the planet's four tribe system.
  • A generic Eukarian seen in "Choose Me" is drawn to resemble a My Little Pony.
