Doc gave Scarlett some backtalk when her commanding officer told her to assess their fallen, pointing out that Rom's attack left the dead Joes as little more than smears. Scarlett did not take the disrespect of her fallen comrades well, and violently sent Doc back to work. The Divine Source of Liberty The limited autopsy proved surprisingly fruitful, for even the scarce remains were enough for Doc to confirm the dead "Joes" weren't human at all, but some form of unidentified alien infiltrators. O Ship of State
Doc was one of the Joes who responded to Mayday's request to take Garrison Kreiger into custody. Doc was also prepared to lend her first-hand knowledge of Wraith physiology to the problem of the unwilling hybrids created by the Talisman. When Eagles Scream When Baron Ironblood and his allies attacked, Doc and the other Joes were shocked to learn their founder Joe Colton had turned against the organization he created. Notes
- Carla Greer was originally created for Devil's Due Press's "alternate reality" G.I. Joe: Reloaded series, in which she was a reimagined version of the traditional male Doc character, Carl Greer. DDP would later import her into their "mainstream" continuity as Carl's niece, who took his place on the G.I. Joe team (after he died in the original Marvel Joe series). IDW decided to do the same in its third G.I. Joe series, with the small change that their version of Carla was Carl's daughter, rather than his niece.
- She almost appeared in Of Masters and Mayhem to tie in to an upcoming exclusive toy. In the end, she was replaced with Lisa to, in Jesse Wittenrich's words, avoid "yet another a GI Joe reference in a Fun Pub comic."[1]
