During a press conference where the TransTech government finally acknowledge the closing off of the Multiverse known as the Shroud, Director Shockwave reported that contact had been made with a two-bot outpost orbiting Gargent 1084.29 Alpha, one of the most important Gargent streams. Vector Prime also noted the great similarity between this universe and Gargent 984.08 Alpha, rating less than a one on the Turtler D.O.V.E. scale (possibly due to some name differences). Ask Vector Prime, 2015/11/08
On New Year's Eve 2016, Axiom Nexus was suddenly rocked by news that Megatron had finally punched through the Shroud and found this universe had been erased from existence... until it turned out that the monitors had just been turned off. 31/12/2016, Rook - Axiom Nexus News
Notes
- Gargent 1084.29 Alpha seems to be one of two universal stream designations corresponding to the Challenge of the GoBots cartoon. Its specifications are taken from what some sources report as the original airdate of the first episode of the series.
- Gargent 984.08 Alpha is the other stream for Challenge of the GoBots, and the one used exclusively (including by Ask Vector Prime as recently as July) up until now. It is unknown why there are two designations for the same cartoon; this could represent two similar universes, a Shroud-related retcon, foreshadowing for the forthcoming "Spatiotemporal Challengers" story, or something else.
- As Fun Publications has developed a general policy of not touching the universal streams of actual major Transformers (or in this case, GoBots) media, the identification of both streams may be an attempt at backtracking on threatening a major fiction's universe with destruction. If this is the case, then 1084.29 Alpha would be the actual cartoon universe while 984.08 Alpha would be a pseudo-cartoon universe which Club fiction can do with as it pleases. Easing the way for this semi-retcon is that "Withered Hope" refers to Herr Fiend as opposed to calling him Doctor Go.
