Special Teams

This article is about the term used to describe for the first wave of Scramble City combiners. For the audiobook released in the UK in 1986 , see The Special Teams.

Special Teams was a collective name given to the four groups Scramble City combiners released after the Constructicons:

• The Aerialbots
• The Combaticons
• The Protectobots
• The Stunticons

The term was employed predominantly in the UK where it was mainly used in toy advertisements. It did however appear in the Marvel UK Comic, in the story Second Generation! giving it canonical status. The term was never used in the US Marvel Comic, but was used in Dreamwave's Dark Ages series.
