Energy Futures Industries is a slacker's paradise from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Energy Futures Industries is a company involved in power-generation technology. Were they also involved in energy futures? Who knows? Did they exploit the so-called "Enron loophole"? Well, who hasn't?

In the mid-1980s, EFI was involved in the development of the hydrothermocline, a system designed for ocean thermal energy conversion, projected to supply limitless clean energy for fleshlings' toasters. Unfortunately, the machine was stolen by robots while under development. One would hope they had the foresight to purchase robot insurance. Afterdeath!

Energy Futures Industries owns a very powerful Spectramax computer system which is used solely for work-related activities such as running simulations. Their dedicated, hardworking programmers would have it no other way.
