Shield Dragon is a Beastformer in the Generation 1 continuity family.

Shield Dragon is one of the Decepticon Beastformers fighting a war on the planet Beest. His role in the Decepticon Beastformer forces is a communications soldier. He also holds the rank of Emperor of Jigard under King Cobrander. How these two jobs fit together isn't explained. His place of birth is the Dragon Peninsula.

Shield Dragon is an anthropomorphic frilled lizard in high-tech dark blue armor. He comes with his "Teleprojector" blade. He came with one of three rubsigns, revealing the elemental power of fire, water, or wood.
