Predacon (disambiguation)

There are multiple, unrelated entities and groups with the name Predacon or Predacons in the Transformers multiverse:

• The Generation 1 Predacons, a team of five Decepticons who combined to form Predaking.
• Factions called Predacons have appeared in several Transformers stories:
  • The Beast Wars Predacons are a Cybertronian political faction, descended from the Decepticons. They are ruled by the mysterious Tripredacus Council.
  • In Robots in Disguise, the Predacons were the initial group of evil Transformers, later joined by the Decepticon forces.
  • The War Within Predacons are a Decepticon splinter faction that existed millions of years ago when Megatron was temporarily missing.
• In Armada, a toy named Predacon was a retool of the Transmetal Megatron toy.

In most of these cases (barring WWI), Predacons have the alternate form of an animal, typically carnivorous (hence the name).
