Laserbeak (Cybertron)

Laserbeak is a Planet X Decepticon first seen in the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Soundwave may not be a cold, emotionless guy anymore, but Laserbeak is still ever-silent.

Laserbeak is an extension of his partner, Soundwave. He is a drone whose programming is taken from a small portion of Soundwave's personality. The small bird is perfect for infiltration, sporting a stealth mode, smokescreens, cutting lasers, and various retractable tools for manipulating and retrieving objects.

Though Laserbeak's form is that of a drone created by the inhabitants of Planet X and manufactured by the thousands, Soundwave is excessively protective of this specific unit.

Vector Prime stated that the Planet X which attacked the Gigantion of Aurex 802.23 Alpha was the headquarters of the remnants of the Cybertronian Empire from Primax 994.0 Gamma. Presumably the Laserbeak active in Aurex 802.23 Alpha (or the 'bots who built him) was a Cybertronian from Primax 994.0 Gamma. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/06/05 On the other hand, Vector Prime stated that the Planet X which attacked Gigalonia in Aurex 105.08 Alpha was half the body of Unicron from Primax 886.0 Gamma. Presumably the Laserbeak active in Aurex 105.08 Alpha (or the 'bots who built him) was a Transformer consumed by Unicron and later resurrected by his systems. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/06/08

Laserbeak first appeared with Soundwave after he informed the Decepticons that he can lead them to Gigantion.Titans.Laserbeak was again seen with his larger counterpart while the Decepticons searched for the last Cyber Key.Warp.While Soundwave was assisting the other Decepticons on Gigantion during a battle, Laserbeak was seen perched on Soundwaves shoulder.Giant.Laserbeak was present while Soundwave and Sideways were scanning for something in the depths of a distant planet. Eventually they were caught by the Autobots, and questioned to know what they were doing. Upon discovery, Soundwave ejected Laserbeak and he spewed a fog which confused the Autobots and bought Soundwave and Sideways some time. While they were stumbling in the mist, Hotshot attempted to shoot Soundwave but accidentally hit Laserbeak causing the fog to stop. Laserbeak, who isn't a Mini-Con, infiltrated the Archives to retrieve the Dead Matrix for Soundwave. With the artifact, Soundwave was able to extract Unicron's dark essence from the Unicron Singularity. Revelations Part 3

Laserbeak is packaged with his partner Soundwave. His alternate mode is one of Soundwave's bombs, and in this form can be stored in Soundwave's chest compartment, reminiscent of where another Laserbeak spent his nights.

Laserbeak can perch on the tips of Soundwave's wings in his condor form by inserting his peg into one of the trailing edge holes. Since Laserbeak is not designed to be a Mini-con, he does not have a Powerlinx adapter, nor does he bear the Mini-Con insignia. Nevertheless, the packaging still calls him one.

This mold was used to make Hell Buzzsaw and Blockrock.
