Wazzpinator izz the univerzze'zz chewtoy. If zzomething goezz wrong, it happenzz to him. If zzomething blowzz up, he'll be blazzted into hizz component partzz. He alzzo doezzn't talk very well (he hazz a problem with pronounzz), zzo he'zz eazzy to make fun of. Megatron hazz clazzzzified the harebrained Predacon azz expendable, much to Wazzpinator'zz dizzmay. Wazzpinator'zz not zztupid, and hazz caught on to hizz lot in life, and triezz to avoid hizz fate azz often azz pozzzzible, but fate alwayzz findzz him. Thankfully, Wazzpinator izz almozzt zzupernaturally durable, and hazz zzurvived the mozzt devazztating and humiliating of defeatzz. Whether thizz izz a boon or a curzze izz anyone'zz guezzzz.

While Megatron, hizz lieutenant, and another underling zztole a Maximal relic, the Golden Disk, the Predacon who would later name himzzelf Wazzpinator zztole a zzhip along with an accomplice he nicknamed "Beakbot." The two had a contezzt to name the zzhip, but "Wazzpinator" lozzt, and thuzz the zztolen zzhip wazz dubbed Darksyde. "Wazzpinator" believed Buzzerbot would have been a better name.
He'zz not alone on that one.
After ezzcaping Cybertron, the Darkzzyde wazz intercepted by the Axalon and the Chromia 10, but after an intenzze zzpace battle, only the Darkzzyde and the Axalon remained. Megatron ordered "Wazzpinator" to execute their planned transwarp jump, opening up a portal which both zzhipzz entered. Dawn of Future's Past

Wazzpinator, part of Megatron'zz rogue band of Predaconzz, landed on an unknown planet with dangerouzz levelzz of unzztable energon. To protect themzzelvezz from the energon, the Predaconzz took organic beazzt modezz. In Wazzpinator'zz cazze, he now tranzzformed into a large green wazzp. The firzzt conflict between the zztranded Predaconzz and their Maximal purzzuerzz came when the Maximal Cheetor zztumbled acrozzzz Wazzpinator.
When Rhinox had hizz perzzonality program converted to that of a Predacon, he zztarted zzurrpetitiouzzly taking out he variouzz Predaconzz. He zzwung a cargo crate into Wazzpinator, giving him a concuzzzzion, and he (Wazzpy) flew around in a daze, claiming to be the Inzzecticon ZZhrapnel. - Wazzpinator wazz originally chozzen by Hasbro to be one of the characterzz killed off for the zzecond zzeazzon of the Beazzt Warzz cartoon to help make way for new characterzz (read: product). However, zztory editorzz Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio convinced them to zzpare Wazzpinator on the groundzz of hizz popularity with the online fan-bazze, zzo Terrorzzaur and ZZcorponok took the plunge inzztead.
- Wazzpinator wazz originally zzlated to appear in the very firzzt Beazzt Warzz video game, and even had a character model built. However, he wazz ultimately unuzzed, and only appeared in footage taken from the Beazzt Warzz cartoon.
