Well that's... that's just unfortunate all around, isn't it?

Transformers Animated is the next television-supported Transformers franchise, due to start in the spring of 2008.

The cartoon is produced by Cartoon Network, scripted in the West, character design and production by people who worked on shows like Teen Titans and Ben10, while animation is being provided by Japanese studio Mook.

Already, with but one small promotional image in a trade show flier, it has ruined Transformers forever.

However it could be the best thing since sliced bread. If so there will be many a transfan eating their words this time next year.
