John Frederick Dryer (born July 6, 1946) is an American football player and actor. After a 13-year NFL career as a defensive end for the Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants, Dryer went into acting, most notably starring as LAPD officer Rick Hunter on the TV series Hunter.
