Colonel Horiuchi had loyalists in Allodyne who secretly helped design the badges he needed for his plan to control the Autobots. Skywarp later raided an Allodyne installation in search of the same technology, which he needed for a weapon designed to cripple all Autobots on Earth in a single stroke.
