The Rhino is a vehicle used by M.A.S.K. from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Rhino is one of the many vehicles in the M.A.S.K. motor pool, an armored truck jointly operated by Julio Lopez and Bruno Sheppard. Unlike most other M.A.S.K. vehicles, the Rhino requires two pilots to operate: one to drive the truck and the other to control its formidable array of onboard weaponry when it converts into a mobile defense unit.

Lopez and Sheppard drove the Rhino into battle against Kup and Aileron in Greece; while Lopez controlled the vehicle, Sheppard manned the weapons, firing them at Kup. The Divine Source of Liberty The pair operated it once more during M.A.S.K.'s siege on Autobot City. In the melee, Optimus Prime grabbed the Rhino and incapacitated it. The New Colossus

  • The original 1980s Rhino was a M.A.S.K. vehicle, but after Revolution in the IDW continuity, it is Bruno Sheppard of V.E.N.O.M. who operates a Rhino.
