Would this page only cover theatrical releases, or should TV movies like Predacons Rising also be included? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 00:16, 28 February 2019 (EST)

Not sure, to be honest. I'm kinda feeling like theatricals, as most of the TV movies, if memory serves, are written more like multi-part episodes... and there's something extra about making it to the big screen. --M Sipher (talk) 01:07, 28 February 2019 (EST)
Maybe a brief catch-all section at the end for TV movies? Predacons Rising, at least, was so consistently marketed as a movie, even through to home video, that it wouldn't be unreasonable for somebody to go looking for it via a 'movies' hub. Jalaguy (talk) 08:00, 28 February 2019 (EST)

Okay, Predacons Rising I think justifies its inclusion, looking back on just how it was promoted and such. But I'm struggling to remember any other TF TV movies at all. --M Sipher (talk) 03:08, 1 March 2019 (EST)

Animated had some, in theory, but they're unambiguously "multi-parter mashed together into one thing" affairs for the most part. You could maybe make an argument for the Transform and Roll Out premiere? That was separate from the 13-episode season 1 block (like how PR was separate from the 13-episode Prime season 3 block), and was also kept separate from season 1 on the home video release (again similarly to PR and Prime season 3). I wasn't active in the fandom at the time, though, so I can't speak to how it was marketed, though. Jalaguy (talk) 05:09, 1 March 2019 (EST)
I know they referred to both of Animated's three-parters as movies on the DVD commentaries. As Jalaguy said, Transform and Roll Out was marketed separately from S1 (and was referred to as a "special" in advertising), and Wyatt said of TransWarped "We made it as one 70 minute movie, but it has also been cut into three 22s." Other than those two, though, I can't think of any multiparters that were presented as TV movies. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 08:05, 1 March 2019 (EST)
