IDW 2005 continuity
Wolverine, a member of the Avengers, has a mutant healing factor and enhanced senses as well as an Adamantium laced skeleton and claws. Along with the Avengers he took part in a S.H.I.E.L.D. mission to investigate some strange radiation signatures and prevent an all out war between Symkaria and Latveria. Unfortunately Wolverine's mutant abilities did not make him immune to the effects of a Psycho-Prism employed by Megatron. This increased his already aggressive tendencies and along with the other Avengers he attacked the Autobots who had also come to investigate. Man and Machine, Part One Doctor Doom managed to free Wolverine from the Psycho-Prism effects by zapping him with electricity. The Avengers then joined forces with the Autobots to combat Megatron's phase two plans. Man and Machine, Part Two Though the initial battle seemed to go well things took a turn for the worse when Megatron attacked having been enhanced using Spider-Man's super-hero blood. After infiltrating the base Wolverine used his own blood to enhance Ratchet and Prowl before destroying the Psychic-Prism. Without the Psychic-Prism Megatron saw no point in continuing the battle and used the last of his super-hero enhanced strength to initiate an emergency warp-out protocol. With the threat of war receded and the battle over Wolverine left for home aboard the Quinjet, though his enhanced senses led him to comment that the jet smelled funny... Man and Machine, Part Four
Note
- Though the Neo-Knights were never described as Mutants in the fiction, the term is used in the preview for "The Human Factor!", then reiterated in the letters page of "Surrender!" and "On the Edge of Extinction!".
