The Transformers: Evolutions is a line of alternate-universe Transformers comics published by IDW Publishing.

Series

• Hearts of Steel, presents a reality where the Transformers awakened in the Industrial Revolution-era USA. Bumblebee and others become steam locomotives, while Shockwave is an ironclad ship instead of a ray gun, and so forth.
• In 2017, a version of the Hearts of Steel story was retconned into being part of the main IDW 2005 continuity, establishing its characters as unwitting fakes of the actual G1 characters in part of a larger conspiracy. Strange Visitors

Notes

• Chris Ryall has said it's very unlikely we'll see more from Evolutions[1] though Infestation 2 acts as a sequel to the Hearts of Steel story.
