Marvel UK produced a G1 comic which ran for over 300 issues, published (mostly) every week. These issues used a larger, magazine-sized format, compared the the traditional size for modern US comic books. They contained roughly half the number of pages of the US version.

Almost all of the stories published in the Marvel US comic were reprinted in the UK version, although often with small editing changes. Due to the small page count of the UK magazine, it would generally take two issues to complete a story that had been written to fit one US issue. This occasionally resulted in some confusing story breaks, where readers would have to wait until the following week to see how a story concluded.

Most UK-specific stories were written by Simon Furman, who later was assigned to write for the US comic, as well.
