Continuity Shattered Glass

Bat-Bot teams up with another super-Transformer against the forces of evil.

Synopsis

Bat-Bot is attacked by the positive-universe Howlback, who considers the heroic Decepticons of the negative-universe a crime against the natural order. Luckily for him, Bat-Bot is not alone-the positive-universe defender Nightprowler has arrived to help. The two proceed to show her the meaning of teamwork...which mostly amounts to them running around her in circles.

(Numbers indicate order of appearance.)

Notes

  • Characters mentioned include: the "true" Megatron.

Transformers references

  • Howlback is an e-HOBBY exclusive redeco of Ravage, whose bio described her as a member of the Cobalt Sentries, enforces for the Decepticon Secret Police. Hence, her disgust at the heroic Decepticons of Shattered Glass.
  • Nightprowler takes his name from an unreleased Universe redeco of the original Beast Wars Cheetor figure; an Autobot Horrorcon who turned into a snow leopard. He is repurposed from the Ravage toy from the Linkin Park Soundwave toy, colored entirely gold.

Other trivia

  • Although she's not the first female Transformer from Classics continuity (other examples being Elita-1 and Scylla), according to authorial intent Howlback is transgender, and is the first transgender Transformer in the franchise to do so willingly (bar later retcons for IDW Arcee, who was originally depicted as having her transition forced upon her).
