Belonging to the Dinobots, the Rusty Mace is a ship that honors its name. And it's not like it's the Dinobots' fault either. They bought it that way.

When the Dinobots arrived at Spaceport CSSB-16, they traded in their old shuttle for another one that was more 'them' yet also less conspicuous. However, it was in need of repairs. Most importantly, the Rusty Mace needed new charge converters to get the starboard impulse drive working again. Primarily because all he charged was energon and a free trip to Cybertron, Reptron was hired to bring the vessel into working condition while the Dinobots went to discuss a possible team-up with Devcon. Reptron had the ship patched up nicely, replacing the charge converters with ones he personally stole from another ship occupying the hangar.
Reptron, Devcon, and the Dinobots boarded the Rusty Mace to get back to Cybertron, as Devcon and T-Wrecks had figured out the Quintessons would launch an attack on the planet. When they arrived, the population had already formed a makeshift army to fight off the invasion. Due to the stolen charge converters not being of proper quality, the Rusty Mace had to crash land, conveniently into a large group of Sharkticons. Beast Wars: Uprising
A Preditron-class cruiser, the Rusty Mace was commanded by T-Wrecks in the 25th century. While on patrol, they discovered the human ship The Problem of Infinities under attack by the Shi-Lai and proceeded to destroy the Shi-Lai ships, the battle knocking out their transwarp cell. As a sign of gratitude, Captain Una sent over Ne'll to help Rapticon repair the ship. The Inexorable March
