Godless killing machine?

Betabear was a gladiator during Clench's days as team captain.

During a team vs team match, Betabear failed to act on Clench's order to get in circle formation and was killed off by one of the other team. Megatron Origin #2

Beast Wars: Uprising

[edit]

Betabear of the Maximal Command Security Force was partnered with Stiletto when the Grand Uprising kicked off. He was a nice guy up for promotion and did outreach work with scrambled protoforms out in the projects and was totally gonna kick that nucleon habit some day any day now.

During a Predacon riot in Peptex, he was overwhelmed and called for help. It was all pretty much over when Sea Panic, a local troublemaker, got close (possibly to try to take a post-riot selfie with him); Betabear, in a nucleon-driven battle rage, tried to kill him. Stiletto was forced to kill her partner to stop it and the MCSF covered it up by having the Predacon Secret Police alter her memories. When she came out, she was guilty for accidentally killing Sea Panic after she mistook a camera for a weapon and Betabear was around somewhere honest. Burning Bridges

Notes

[edit]
Or just a killed machine?
  • From what little can be seen of Betabear, his appearance is a match with the guy standing with Clench, Crasher, and Skyquake five pages earlier in the issue. However, a gladiator of that same appearance also was present on the other side of the circle formation just a panel before Betabear's death, which makes it unlikely he is Betabear as well. Furthermore, what roughly looks like the same model shows up three more times in the background throughout the comic after Betabear's death, so it's unclear whether Betabear is the guy as seen on the right or not.
