Secure in both ranged and melee combat, Megatron wields both a huge kick-ass arm cannon and a katana.

Megatron will not be the most active leader, but will apparently be directing a lot of what the evil fleshies do. But unlike his previous counterparts, he sees himself as a freedom fighter: freeing the oppressed Decepticons from treacherous Autobots. He prefers effective destruction of the Autobots instead of toying with his foes, and isn't afraid to rid his honor to do it.He wants the Allspark, and in an early encounter with the Autobot crew manages to manhandle Optimus Prime and toss our poor heroes about like rag dolls. Yes, even Bulkhead; that is of course until Prowl cut off his already damaged right arm. Although he was decimated by Starscream's treachery, he will maniuplate Issac Sumdac to reconstruct him, and gain psychokinetic powers. Later in the series, he will upgrade himself to a more powerful form, perhaps as Galvatron.

- Transforms into an alien VTOL jet that looks significantly more jet-like than his Movie counterpart and bears a striking resemblance to the jet mode of Super Megatron (see below), despite the fact he seems to have stolen Movie Megatron's head. His cannon is indeed HUGE, but sadly, he doesn't appear to come with his katana.

- Megatron's "Earth" body bears a significant resemblance to Generation 1 Super Megatron from the Battlestars storyline. According to info gleaned from the Transformers NetJet game, his alt-mode appears to be something akin to an Osprey helicopter, but this remains unconfirmed.
