Megatron goes after the Ark after detecting the Allspark. When Starscream volunteers to attack, Megs sees right through him, pointing out I didn't spend the last 4 million solar cycles combing the galaxy just so you can get your greazy wings on the Allspark, and crumples a part of said wings to make his point. Screamer gets his own back by planting a bomb on Megatron, which blows just as his fusion cannon is about to breach the Arks hull. After that, a lot of crazy things happen, the ark crashes and Megatron takes up residence in Detroit as The Big Giant Head. Oh, but don't think he won't be back, oh no.

- Megatron (2008)
- Transforms into an alien VTOL jet that looks significantly more jet-like than his Movie counterpart and bears a striking resemblance to the jet mode of Super Megatron (see below), despite the fact he seems to have stolen Movie Megatron's head. His cannon is indeed HUGE, but sadly, he doesn't appear to come with his katana.
- Megatron (2008)
- Megatron's "Earth" body bears a significant resemblance to Generation 1 Super Megatron from the Battlestars storyline. According to info gleaned from the Transformers NetJet game, his alt-mode appears to be something akin to an Osprey helicopter, but this remains unconfirmed.
