Main page redirects

I don't think it's a good idea to nominate main page redirects for speedy deletion other than for things like spelling errors and vandalism. Deletion, sure, but speedy deletion is supposed to be reserved for things that are not subject to debate. Some examples from the lot that are in there at the moment which I think are debatable: "Clone Pilot Goji" is the name on the toy and thus should probably be a redirect. "Dan Taylor" should probably redirect to one of the Dan Taylors. "Hot Rod/IDW Generation 1 continuity" was the page name for over a year, so it's entirely possible that there are sites linking to it - there might not be, but the point is that if it's something that needs to be checked or debated, it should probably be in "to be deleted" and not speedy deletion. --abates (talk) 18:11, 14 April 2019 (EDT)

I have carefully gone through checking the redirects and cleared out this category. Just to reiterate, unless it's vandalism or the page was only there for a short time, redirects for deletion shouldn't be marked as speedy deletion because they need to be checked for external links and so on. --abates (talk) 21:10, 13 May 2019 (EDT)
