Peter Venkman is a Ghostbuster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Dr. Peter Venkman is a scientist and founding member of the Ghostbusters. The mouth of team, his smarmy, smooth-talking attitude is just as likely to get him and his teammates into trouble as it is to get them out.

• Venkman appeared in the Ghostbusters chapters of IDW's Infestation and The X-Files: Conspiracy crossover events.
• One of Susan Hoffman's assistants in "Race with the Devil" was drawn to resemble Venkman's appearance in The Real Ghostbusters.
