The Community Portal page is meant to serve as a central location for all editors and readers of MediaWiki to keep track of what is going on throughout the wiki. Here on the portal itself, announcements and policy changes and the like will be posted.

The portal's talk page (Transformers Wiki talk:Community Portal) is the place to go if you have a question to discuss that potentially affects large sections of the wiki. For example, if you want to propose a new template for articles about cartoon episodes, a lot of other editors may be interested in that topic. If you post your ideas on the talk page for a particular episode's article, it may not be noticed by everybody. But, put it on the Community Portal's talk page, and hopefully you will get more input.

In early April 2006, an image being used in an article devoted to a fan club comic was removed at the request of its copyright holder. (See Talk:Vector Prime: In the Beginning for details.) Since then, some templates have been created for tagging images that are uploaded. Please take a look at these templates, and use them as appropriate when uploading a new image:

Admins

The admins for this Wiki are User:ItsWalky, User:Suki Brits, User:Chris McFeely and User:Steve-o. If you have questions or issues that only an admin can address, they are your people. Just leave them a message on their User talk pages.

Bot account

There is a bot account on this wiki, User:DiagnosticDrone, which is available to perform tedious or repetitive edits to large numbers of pages. For example, if a page is moved and a large number of links need to be rewritten, or if the name of a category is changed and all the pages in that category need to be fixed... the bot can do that quickly and easily. DiagnosticDrone is owned by User:Steve-o. If you want the bot to perform a job for you, leave a message about it on Steve-o's talk page. NOTE: Because bots often perform a large number of consecutive but uninteresting edits, the actions of bot accounts (that is, accounts which have been given a "bot" flag by the Wikia staff) do not, by default, appear on the recent changes list. To view bot edits you will have to click the "show bots" link.
