Shotimus Prime interviews Tarantulas, who he's convinced is Sideways. Tarantulas is not amused
Synopsis
[edit]On the latest installment of Shotimus Prime's Interviewy Times, Shotimus Prime is interviewing the Tarantulas of Primax 509.28 Epsilon, inspiring him to rename the column once again to Shotimus Prime's Spider Insider. Shotimus asks a few questions, to which Tarantulas replies with maniacal laughter. He gets the Predacon's attention, however, when he asks whether or not he's Sideways. Tarantulas tells him he doesn't know who that is, but Shotimus ignores him, pointing out some similarities between the two. Annoyed, Tarantulas asks if he can get any other questions; as Shotimus rambles on, Tarantulas begins to wish he were Sideways so he could get him to shut up. This causes Shotimus to go on a tangent, now believing that Tarantulas is the past self of Sideways, and that he is responsible for Sideways creation. At the end of his rope, Tarantulas rips out Shotimus' Matrix of Leadership, reverting him to Hot Shot, and beats him with it. Hot Shot mopes that Sideways is cruel.

Transformers references
[edit]- The Tarantulas interviewed by Hot Shot is from the Wings Universe, who was part of the third Transformers Figure Subscription Service.
- The idea that Sideways and Tarantulas are the same character is a bit of a semi-serious fandom meme started by author David Willis, extending back to the non-canonical ALTernity Today website accompanying the release of The AllSpark Almanac II.
- Similarities between Sideways and Tarantulas that Hot Shot points out include: being a purple-and-yellow motorcycle (the TFSS Tarantulas is a redeco of Reveal the Shield Wreck-Gar, based on the transitory vehicle mode for Transmetal Tarantulas); being a third party in the war between factions; getting stronger (in the "Primeval Dawn" storyline, Tarantulas was revealed to have survived his supposed death in Beast Wars episode "Other Victories", empowered by the energies of the Vok; Sideways was destroyed by Optimus Prime in Armada episode "Origin", only to return a few decades later in Cybertron); and being a servant of Unicron (Tarantulas was revealed to be one in the 3H Productions comics from BotCon).
- Hot Shot remembers his injuries at the hands of Cyclonus and Demolishor on the moon thanks to Sideways' machinations; this refers to Armada episode "Credulous".
