600,000 years ago, Shockwave launched thirteen rockets loaded with energon ore, one of which seeded Ore-7 upon the planet Antilla, where it developed its powers of "change". Shockwaves The Crucible Ceremony
During his journey through space, Metroplex picked up a sample of Ore-7. When confronted with an army of Ammonites seeking to reclaim the ore, the Titan infused Ore-7 into part of his thumb and jettisoned it into space. The Ammonites tried to kill him using Ore-2, The Becoming infecting Metroplex with an alchemical virus and sending him into hiding beneath the oceans of Hydrophena. Burning Bright
Metroplex's discarded thumb was recovered by the Lost Light. The Reluctant Specialist Eventually he began pulling the lost body part back towards him, knowing the Ore-7 within it would cure him of the disease, The Becoming guiding the Lost Light to Hydrophena Winners & Losers and Metroplex himself. Into the Abyss Connecting with the Lost Light, Metroplex used his Space bridge to transport the ship, himself and his Ore-7-infused thumb to Cybertron. Burning Bright
While Metroplex was locked in battle with the Necrotitan, Megatron used his own integrated Titan tech to teleport the thumb back to Metroplex, allowing the Titan to use Ore-7's power of change to restore himself and reduce the Necrotitan's death plague to a benign state, saving the populace of New Iacon. Finis Temporis After that, the ore went inert. Perceptor and Chromia began studying it. Shockwave meanwhile merged Ore-2 and Ore-14 and exposed the result to his own sample of Ore-7, the resulting fusion granting him the power over life and death. When all gathered ores were merged through his chronal drive, Shockwave sought to use them to collapse all of time and space into raw fuel for Cybertron. The Becoming
Some six months later, Starscream made efforts to extract one or both of the Regenesis ores within Metroplex. A Long Way Down Windblade vol.1 #3 He eventually gave up on this goal when Windblade offered him usage of Metroplex's space bridge to contact Cybertron's lost colonies. Windblade vol.1 #4
