Driver Ted is a member of the Arcade Renegades from BotBots.

Super Hang-Off

Driver Ted has a need for speed, as long as it's at or below the designated speed limit. A stickler for the rules of the road, this driving instructor takes it upon himself to make sure the other BotBots are keeping their eyes forward and their hands at 10 and 2, lest he dock them a few points on the practical exam.

Which kinda takes a lot of the fun out of his racing game alternate mode.

Part of the third series of BotBots, Driver Ted transforms into a ride-on motorcycle racing arcade game.

He is available in all iterations of the "Arcade Renegades Surprise" 16-pack; all eight new-mold Bots (of which Driver Ted is one) are displayed in the window portion of the packaging, with the redecos of prior molds in the eight blindpacked bubbles. The blindpacked contents vary, with six known "packouts": one has the remaining eight Arcade Renegades, while the other five have four Renegades and four Bots from -inexplicably- Series 1. Unfortunately, there appears to be no form of ID numbering on the packaging to tell what's inside the bubbles.

Notes

• Driver Ted's name is a play on "driver's ed", short for "driver's education".
• Ted's screen shows a pair of BotBots in front of checkered flags: early concept line-art of Point Dexter and The Plop Father.
